Constitution Day observed by Political Science Department at P.G.College.

Gopeshwar: Constitution Day has observed by the Department of Political Science in the Government Post Graduate College located in Gopeshwar, the district headquarters of district Chamoli.

Principal Professor Nagwal, on this occasion read out the Preamble of the Constitution and administered oath to the professors, employees and students present. In his address, he clarified the importance of the Constitution and talked about adopting the values contained in it.

Dr. JMS Negi, in-charge of the Political Science Department of the college, while welcoming all the professors, employees and students including the Principal, said that the Indian Constitution is unique and comprehensive in the world. And he urged the students to read one article of their supreme constitution every day and adopt them.

Dr. Manish Kumar Mishra, discussed the importance of enacting the Constitution in the month of Margashirsha, clearly mentioning the meanings of the words contained in the Preamble of the Constitution. Department professor Dr. Kanika Badwal expressed her gratitude to all the guests and students. On this occasion, a speech competition was also organized on the topic “75 years of the Constitution” in which Priyanka got first place, Vijaya got second place and Monica got third place. Dr. Sabaj Saini and Dr. Rajesh Chandrayal were the members of the jury.
