Newly appointed district magistrate has warm welcomed at district headquarter.

Chamoli: District Chamoli got new district magistrate, Mr. Gaurav Kumar, arrived at the office on Thursday, October 16, 2025, and formally assumed his duties.

Upon his arrival, he was welcomed with a guard of honor and a bouquet of flowers. The District Magistrate then inspected the District Treasury, including the Collectorate premises and the Disaster Control Room. Following this, the District Magistrate held a meeting with the Collectorate’s officers and employees in the District Magistrate’s auditorium.

He introduced himself to everyone and expressed his hope for everyone’s co-operation in accelerating the district’s development efforts. He extended Diwali greetings in advance to all the officers and employees present. District Magistrate Mr. Gaurav Kumar is a 2017 batch IAS officer. Previously, he held the positions of Additional Secretary, Urban Development, Information Technology, Suraj and Science Technology, Director, Urban Development Directorate, Dehradun, Director, ITDA, and Managing Director, Hiltran.
