Congress MLA Rajendra Bhandari wrote a letter to PM Modi.

Chamoli: Rajendra Singh Bhandari, congress MLA from Badrinath assembly constituency, has fiercely opposed the construction of Helang- Marwadi by pass road, wrote a letter to prime minister Narendra Modi, to abrupt prevention over the construction of this road.

MLA Bhandari, mention in his letter to PM, the historical and spiritual importance of Joshimath and said that at the present time the residents of this town have faced a huge economic loss due to disasters. Being a boarder area located town it is very valuable in many way, and is the main stop of Badarinath, Hemkund Sahib, world famous Valley of Flowers and snow sports place Auli. Thus, the construction of 13.KM by pass motor road would cut it off from all the importance of this place. As the local residents of this town suffered from disaster and will have to face economic loss forever in the future.
