This year is especial for Shiv devotees, will get 8 monday to worship.

Dehradun: The month of Sawan is starting from 4th July, and this year the month of Sawan will be special in many ways to Lord Shiva devotees.  Firstly, after 19 years, the month of Sawan will be of 59 days instead of 30 days.  This year devotees will get eight Mondays to worship Lord Shiva.

Keeping in the mind the Kavar Fair, District Magistrate Sonia said that she had held a meeting with the departmental officials regarding the preparations for the Kavad fair at Rishikesh. During this, the DM instructed the officials to make arrangements for the safety, basic facilities and arrangements of the devotees as soon as possible under the Yatra, in which a large number of Shiv devotees reach Neelkanth for Jalabhishek.

In such a situation, the Municipal Corporation should ensure cleanliness, cutting of bushes, lighting, mobile toilets, drinking water arrangements along with regular cleaning of toilets in the parking lot to be built in the IDPL area.  The Electricity Department to install electric poles and street lights on the Neelkanth Yatra Marg, to repair dangling electric wires, district magistrate Sonia directed.
