Pilgrimage Season Commences as Shri Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara Doors Open with Rituals.

Chamoli: The revered doors of Shri Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara, nestled in Chamoli district, were ceremoniously opened to devotees on Saturday.

The occasion was marked with due rituals, beginning at 9 am when the Guru Granth Sahib was brought from Sachkhand to Darbar Sahib, led by the Panch Pyaras. Following the recitation of Sukhmani and Shabad Kirtan, the sanctum was opened for worshippers.

At 12:30 pm, the first Ardaas of this year’s pilgrimage season was performed, formally commencing the yatra with the Hukamnama. On the opening day, more than 6,500 devotees from across the country paid obeisance, with over 5,000 bathing in the holy lake before offering prayers.

Shri Hemkund Sahib Trust Chairman, Narinder Jeet Singh Bindra, confirmed that the annual pilgrimage has now officially begun, drawing thousands of faithful to the sacred Himalayan shrine.
