Two dead including a woman, left 7 injured in a car accident.
Chamoli: A Bolero car fell into a 500 meter deep gorge at Ghanialdhar near Talwadi on the Karnaprayag to Gwaldam motorway in Chamoli district on Saturday. Two people have died on the spot in the accident. While seven people have been injured. The condition of four people among the injured is serious. He has been sent to Higher Center Baijnath Hospital after first aid at PHC.
According to information, a postal vehicle was going from Karnprayag to Gwaldam around 11:30 AM, and fell down into a 500 meter deep gorge. Local people and motorists passing through the same road informed the police and tehsil administration about the accident. On information, the team of police and tehsil administration reached at spot and with the help of villagers, the injured were brought to the nearest PHC Gwaldam by 108 emrgency service vehicles. Where four seriously injured people have been referred to CHC Baijnath after first aid.
Medical Officer in-charge of PHC Gwaldam, Dr. Prashant told that the treatment of four minor injuries is going on. He said that the dead bodies have been sent to sub-district hospital, Karnaprayag for post-mortem.
The cause of accident is being said to be staring locked of vehicle. The deceased identified as, Rajendra Chowdhary 55 resident of Bihar, Gwaldam.
