Forest guard recruitment at 316 post has been cleared.
Nainital: Uttarakhand High Court, Nainital has rejected the order of the Single Bench in the recruitment case of 316 posts of Forest Inspector, in which the single bench had stayed the recruitment process of Forest Inspector. After this order of the bench, the way has been cleared for forest inspector recruitment.
The case of forest guard recruitment, was hear before a division bench of Chief Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Rakesh Thapliyal. According to the case, the single bench had issued an interim order on June 22, 2023, staying the forester recruitment process conducted by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC). This order was challenged by some of the candidates in the Division Bench.
The petitioners exclaimed, that the Commission started the recruitment process for 316 posts of Forester and also conducted the written examination in April 2021, but in the meantime the UKSSSC paper leak case came to light. The Special Task Force (SIT) after probing the matter arrested some of the accused for imitation. After the confirmation of large scale cheating in the examination, the commission scrapped the entire recruitment process.
And started the new recruitment process. After the written test, the successful candidates were also selected for the interview. During this, some candidates reached the High Court and challenged the move of UKSSSC and sought to quash the new recruitment process. On this the single bench had stayed the recruitment process. This order of the Single Bench was challenged in the Division Bench. The court has rejected this order of the single bench, after which the way for the recruitment process has been cleared, according to media report.
