National Walk Race medal winner Aman Thakur honoured by DM

Chamoli: Aman Thakur of border district Chamoli has made the district proud by winning bronze medal in the Under -17 Walk Race event under the 60th School National Athletics Competition, District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari honoured athlete Aman Thakur Wednesday, his coach Gopal Singh Bisht and school principal Dinesh Maithani for winning bronze medal in the School National Games and also wished player Aman Thakur for his bright future.

Athlete Aman Thakur is currently a 12th class student in Government Inter College Bairangana. He has recently participated in the School National Athletics Competition held in Lucknow(UP) and won bronze medal in the age category Under-17 walk race of 05 km competition. During this, Additional District Magistrate Vivek Prakash, Chief Education Officer Dharam Singh, Sports Co-ordinator K.C Pant, District Sports Officer Girish Kumar etc. were present.
