A young tourist drowned into river Ganga and dead.

Rishikesh: Amit Gautam 33, residents of Delhi, had come to visit Rishikesh from Delhi along with his four friends, drowned in the river Ganges Monday evening. In a hurry, the SDRF took the young man out of the Ganges and admitted him to the hospital, where he died.

He was taking a bath at the river Ganga Ghat with his friends, suddenly Amit’s foot slipped and he got caught in the strong current of the Ganges. Seeing Amit drowning, his friends started screaming, on hearing their cry people informed the police.

According to information, the police, reached at the spot and carried out a rescue operation in the river Ganga with the help of the SDRF Dhalwala team and took the young man out of the river and took him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
