In a bus accident 36 people dead and left 19 injured.
Almora: A major road accident took place Monday morning in district Almora, Kumaun resion Uttarakhand, a bus has fallen into a ditch and 36 people died in the accident and left 19 people injured. This sad news spread a wave of mourn in all Uttarakhand.
The bus was full of passengers, suddenly went out of control and fell into a 150 feet deep ditch in Marchula of Salt development block of district Almora of Uttarakhand. In this accident 36 people died and 19 people are reported to be injured.
Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, took all information about the accident. He has ordered a magisterial inquiry to Divisional Commissioner Deepak Rawat in this matter. Instructions were given to provide proper treatment to the injured. For this, heli service has also been asked to be prepared and the hospital has been put on alert mode. It has been announced to give four lakhs to the families of the deceased and one lakh rupees to the injured.
The bus runs from Garhwal to Ramnagar and surrounding areas of Kumaon, was going towards Ramnagar via Baraat village at morning time. As soon as the driver tried to turn the bus near Kupi Band of Marchula, the bus went out of control and fell into a 150 feet deep ditch below the road. There were about 55 passengers in the 43 seater bus according to information.
As soon as the bus fell, there was a lot of screaming. First of all, some youth from Kupi village and surrounding areas reached the spot. Who started taking out the injured. Also informed the administration. The injured were taken to the hospitals of Devyal and Ramnagar in private vehicles.
As soon as the information of the accident was received, administrative officers from Ramnagar, Kashipur, Almora etc. areas, SDRF, police and PAC personnel etc. reached the spot and started relief and rescue work.
