Being found absent in the office, Officer’s got one day service break.

Chamoli: Sandeep Tiwari, District Magistrate Chamoli, has conducted a sudden inspection of the District Excise Office Tuesday. The District Excise Officer along with two other employees were found absent from the office. District Magistrate has cut one day’s salary of the Excise Officer as well as other employees and has stopped the service break of the Excise Officer and the salary hike of other employees.

District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari said that in the new financial year, arrangements for English liquor shops are to be made in Chamoli. For which the Excise Officer was called on Tuesday. But despite the orders, the Excise Officer did not appear in the office. For that District Magistrate has conducted a surprise inspection of the District Excise Office along with Additional District Magistrate Vivek Prakash.

During the inspection in the office, District Excise Officer Durgeshvar Kumar Tripathi was found missing from the office. At the same time, Assistant Accountant Dheeraj Bhatt and Junior Assistant Manish Rawat were also found absent from the office. The office was left to the mercy of the PRD employee. Taking action on this, the District Magistrate has withheld the Excise Officer’s salary for one day and has given him a service break, and also, taking action against the Assistant Accountant and Junior Assistant, he has withheld their salary for one day too and has also put a stop on their increment.
