In the seven day camp, Nidhi and Sohan selected as best campers
Chamoli: A special camp was organize for seven day at Mandal (Near Gopeshwar) by the Service Planning Unit of Government Post Graduate College, Gopeshwar has ended with colorful cultural programs on Sunday.
Chief Guest, Principal in-charge Prof. Amit Jaiswal, addressing the closing ceremony of camp, said that the National Service Scheme provides education for personality development and nation building through community service. The life cannot be successful only through knowledge, but success can be achieved by using the knowledge gained in one’s life, he further said.
Dr. Vandana Lohani, senior program officer, said that students have participated in various types of physical and intellectual activities throughout the seven days of the camp. The sessions were mainly organized on topics like shramdaan(labour donation), voter awareness campaign, cleanliness campaign, cyber crime, meditation etc.
Various cultural activities were organized by the campers on the concluding day. In group folk dance, Madmaheshwar group stood first, Rudranath group second and Kedarnath group stood third, and Nidhi and Sohan were chosen as the best campers.
