On the essence of water conservation, a seminar was organise at P.G College.
Chamoli: A seminar was organized for two day, on the essentials of rainwater conservation at the Government Postgraduate College, Gopeshwar. In the seminar, Akshita, Simran and Poonam (joint) respectively secured the first position in the poster and speech competition organized on the above subject.
On the second day of the seminar on Friday, the main speaker, Dr. C.P Kuniyal, scientist of Herbal Research Institute Board, told the students about the various methods of rainwater conservation.
Special speakers Dr. Harshi Khanduri and Dr. Manish Mishra through their lectures inspired the student to find solutions to the crisis of surface water and groundwater reserves and to use rainwater as an alternative. Principal Prof. Kuldeep Singh Negi, the program President, said that rainwater harvesting can prove to be helpful in overcoming the increasing water shortage.
