Dehradun: Monsoon has turned up in the state of Uttarakhand, Meteorological Center Dehradun has officially announced the knock of monsoon in the state. Monsoon has knocked in Uttarakhand on Saturday.
Bikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Centre, Dehradun, told that the monsoon is progressing rapidly. In view of this, the period of rain will start in all the districts of the state from Sunday to the plains.
According to Meteorological Director Dr. Vikram Singh, the southwest monsoon has knocked in Uttarakhand. It has reached Uttarakhand on time. However, since last year, this time the monsoon has reached the state six days earlier. Last year on June 30, the monsoon had knocked in Uttarakhand.
In the next 48 hours, there may be heavy to very heavy rains in 7 districts of the state, Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Champawat, Pithoragarh, Nainital and Bageshwar, in addition to this, in the rest of the districts of the state, heavy to very heavy rains may occur at some places. There is a possibility of rain, for which Yellow Alert has been issued, for which Orange and Yellow Alert has been issued.
In view of the Meteorological Department’s warning, guidelines have been issued to the districts by the State Emergency Operation Center. Under this, officers and employees of all line departments will remain alert for 24 hours. During this, no employee and officer will switch off their mobile phone.
