Two minutes silence observed to paid tribute to the immortal martyrs on ‘Martyr Day’

Chamoli: On the 77th death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and in the memory of the martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice of their lives in the freedom struggle of the country, two minutes silence was observed in all government, semi-government offices in the district on 30 January.

All senior officers and personnel in all tehsil and block offices of the district including the district office, Vikas Bhawan, paid tribute to the martyrs by observing two minutes silence and also saluted the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to preserve freedom.

And Innumerable brave men and women put their lives at stake in the freedom movement. Today, tribute was paid to all those known and unknown martyrs by observing silence and a pledge was taken to build a prosperous nation by adopting the ideals and moral values established by the martyrs and giving top priority to national interest.

देश के स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में अपने प्राणों का सर्वोच्च बलिदान देने वाले शहीदों की स्मृति में 30 जनवरी को जनपद में सभी सरकारी, अर्द्ध सरकारी कार्यालयों में सुबह 11ः00 बजे दो मिनट का मौन रखा गया। जिला कार्यालय, विकास भवन सहित जनपद के सभी तहसील एवं ब्लाक कार्यालयों में समस्त वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों एवं कार्मिकों ने राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी की 77 वीं पुण्यतिथि पर दो मिनट का मौन रखते हुए शहीदों को श्रद्धांजलि दी तथा आजादी को सहेज कर रखने में अपनी शहादत देने वाले शहीदों को भी नमन किया। आजादी के आंदोलन में असंख्य वीर-वीरांगनाओं ने अपने प्राणों की बाजी लगाई। आज उन सभी जाने अनजाने शहीदों को भी मौन रखकर श्रद्धांजलि दी गई और शहीदों द्वारा स्थापित आदर्शो एवं नैतिक मूल्यों को अपनाने तथा राष्ट्रहित को सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता देकर एक समृद्ध राष्ट्र निर्माण का संकल्प लिया गया।
