Accrued the testing of water quality of Jal Jeevan Mission works – DM.

Chamoli: Sandeep Tiwari, district magistrate Chamoli Uttarakhand has chaired a review meeting of ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ Monday and directed all the divisions to set 10-10 targets every week in water certification every house and Jal Nigam Karnprayag and Jal Sansthan Karnprayag to expedite every house water.
He also gave instructions to increase the testing of water quality, and to bring progress by monitoring the P-2 scheme on a daily basis in the P-2 scheme ATR in connection with the forest department regarding the pending drinking water schemes due to the transfer of forest land of Jal Nigam Gopeshwar.
Sushil Saini, Superintending Engineer of Jal Sansthan said that 1134 schemes have been completed against 1241 schemes approved in the district. In the P-2 scheme, 450 DPR have been completed by the first week of June against 571 schemes. There have been 650 villages certified against 1113 villages in every house water so far, the water quality testing of 563 villages has been completed.
