By Election Commission of India, organised a training session at distt Chamoli.

Chamoli: Election Commission of India has organised a training session in Tehsil Chamoli today on Friday. During this, a training program was organized under the chairmanship of the Under Secretary of the Commission, Dilip Mahato.

Eight members team of the Commission have conducted a field inspection of remote polling stations and reviewed the election related preparations, infrastructure and voter list revision work.

In the training session, the Under Secretary provided training to BLO’s Booth Level Officers and BLO supervisors in the context of the upcoming election work. During the training session, detailed information was given on topics like the process of adding, deleting, modifying and transferring names in the voter list, convenience of disabled voters and e-registration.

The Under Secretary directed the officers present to ensure the accuracy of the voter list and no laxity should be shown in the verification work by going door to door. He also said that the role of field staff is very important to ensure that the election process is transparent, fair and smooth.
