All preparations are ready for district panchayat’s election.

Chamoli: The preparations have completed for the voting and counting of votes for District Panchayat President, Vice President, Block Pramukh, Senior and Junior Deputy Pramukh posts in the district.

Voting and counting of votes for District Panchayat President, Vice President, Block Pramukh, Senior and Junior Deputy Pramukh posts will be held in district Chamoli on 14th August. In this regard, District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari and Superintendent of Police Sarvesh Panwar jointly inspected the polling place and counting place today on Wednesday.

Both officers took stock of the necessary security arrangements, seating arrangements, barricading, entry and exit routes, vehicle parking, crowd management, barricades to be installed at the counting place and CCTV surveillance. And also, giving guidelines to the concerned sector magistrate and police officers, instructions to ensure vigilance, punctuality and fairness during voting and counting of votes.

The voting process will run from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on August 14, after which the counting of votes will begin. For smooth and peaceful conduct of polling and counting, adequate police force has been deployed and strict security arrangements have been ensured at the district headquarter.
