Rapid TB testing will be available at the District Hospital.

Chamoli: ONGC provides True-Nat equipment to the Health Department, the Health Department is continuously making efforts to strengthen health facilities in the remote district Chamoli on Thursday.

The Health Department provided the True-Nat equipment for rapid TB testing at the District Hospital. This equipment was provided to the Health Department by ONGC under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. This will now make rapid TB testing available at the District Hospital.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Abhishek Gupta has stated that tuberculosis (TB) remains a serious infectious disease. Without timely diagnosis and treatment, it can be fatal. The True-Nat equipment provided by ONGC to the Health Department will be instrumental in timely identification, accurate diagnosis, and treatment. This equipment will strengthen the TB control campaign in the district.
