Voter awareness campaign conducted by lighting the sweep lamp on the Egas festival.

Chamoli: On the occasion of Egas festival, sweep Deep campaign was conducted with the aim of maximum voting in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on Thursday.

A voter awareness campaign was conducted by lighting sweep lamps by various educational institutions of the district on the folk festival of Uttarakhand, Egas on the call of Sweep Chamoli.

Dr. Lalit Narayan Mishra, Nodal Officer of SVEEP, said that under this campaign, first time young voters lit the SVEEP lamp and took an oath to compulsorily include their names in the voter list.

District Coordinator of SVEEP, Chief Education Officer Kuldeep Gairola said that including Government Nursing College Gopeshwar, Law College Gopeshwar, Government Post Graduate College Gopeshwar, Government Polytechnic Pokhri, Government Polytechnic Kulsari, Government Inter College Lawani, Government Inter College Nagnath Pokhri, Government Industrial Institute Karnaprayag. Sweep Deep campaign was conducted in various educational institutions of the district.
