An ambulance, was taking the pregnant woman to the hospital overturned from the road and fell on the roof.
Almora: An ambulance carrying a pregnant woman to Ranikhet Hospital went uncontrolled near Kilkote and left the road and fell on the roof of a house and overturned. Three people have been injured in the accident. As soon as the information was received, the local people reached the spot and rescued the injured and took them to the hospital by a private vehicle. According to the information received, a pregnant woman from Gangoda village of Ranikhet tehsil complained of abdominal pain on Wednesday.
The woman’s neighbour called emergency service 108 to take her to the hospital. After the ambulance arrived, the woman and the neighbour boarded in the ambulance. The ambulance left for the Govind Singh Mahar Government Hospital in Ranikhet carrying patients and attendants, but as soon as the ambulance reached near a turn in Kilkot village, it lost balance and overturned. Hemant Mehra a local folk said that emergency vehicle 108 met an accident while taking patients to the hospital at 1:30 pm in village Kilkot (Airoli) under revenue sub-inspector area Sadar.
An aged woman of 65 years has been referred to the Higher Center and 04 other persons have suffered minor injuries, whose treatment is going on at Govind Singh Mehra Government Hospital, Ranikhet.
