District administration have started removed illegal occupations.

Chamoli: The process of removing encroachments from the government land as per the instructions of the District Magistrate, the Tehsil administration and departments has stated to taken action against encroachment on government and public assets as per rules.

Deputy District Magistrate Santosh Pandey told that, in block Pokhari, out of 10 encroachments identified by the Tehsil administration, and the encroachments have been removed at 9 places. While the action to remove encroachment is in progress at one place. Issuing a notice to the person in illegal occupation of government land, he has been asked to remove the encroachment immediately.

At Joshimath also, Tehsil administration has issued notices marking illegal encroachments on government land. SDM Kumkum Joshi informed that encroachments have been identified at seven places in Ravigram area of Joshimath. Notice has been issued to all these people encroaching on government land, to remove the encroachment within the prescribed period. Encroachment will be removed from the government land soon as per the rules.
