Higher education minister gave a chance to the students to addmission in graduation.

Dehradun: The state government has given a final opportunity to the students who were deprived of submitting admission form in higher educational institutions through online. The Students denied admission will be able to apply offline directly in any government university campus, affiliated colleges and institutes and government colleges as per their wish. It will be the responsibility of the concerned university, college and institute to register the students applying offline on the e-governance Samarth portal.

According to, media incharge higher education minister, V.P. Singh Bisht, the State Higher Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat has taken this decision at his official residence, in a meeting. Dr. Rawat said that information was received through various mediums that hundreds of students have been deprived of taking admission due to some reasons not being able to register online on the Samarth portal. In view of this, it has been decided that students who are denied admission can apply offline directly on the basis of availability of seats in their nearest government colleges, university campuses and affiliated private educational institutions.

It will be the responsibility of the concerned educational institutions to register the applications of the students received through offline medium on the Samarth portal through their institution. Apart from this, the students who had previously applied online through Samarth portal but had applied in less than 10 colleges as an alternative, can also apply offline on the basis of registration number made earlier in other educational institutions. In this regard, instructions have been issued to all the three government universities of the state, Sridev Suman Uttarakhand University, Kumaon University and Soban Singh Jina University, so that the universities will be able to issue guidelines to their respective government, aided and private educational institutions at their own level. The departmental minister said that this last chance is being given to those students who were earlier deprived of online registration and admission due to various reasons.
