Heavy rains alert issued for six district including capital Dehradun.

Dehradun: Heavy rain might be occur in six districts today. A red alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department for Saturday in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar and Champawat. While there is a yellow alert for rain in other districts as well.

Especially in many areas of Haridwar, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar districts, there are chances of several rounds of rain with strong thunder and lightning. Bikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Center, said that heavy rains in six districts on August 12 may increase the water level of rivers and storm drains and suggest to be careful.
