Seven died and left 28 injured, in a bus accident on Gangotri highway.
Uttarkashi: A passenger bus carrying 35 passengers on it, suddenly lost control and met to accident in district Uttarakshi on Sunday. The bus fell down into a gorge near Gangnani on the Gangotri Highway.
According to the information received, bus number UK 07 858533 was coming from Gangotri towards Uttarkashi with passengers. During this the bus went uncontrolled and fell into the ditch. Seven bodies have been retrieved so far and 28 rescued in the accident and hospitalized to them.
According to the District Disaster Management, 27 injured have been rescued so far. The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Seven bodies have been recovered there. S.P Arpan Yaduvanshi has also left for the spot.
The district hospital has sent two more ambulances to the spot, without having any delay. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed grief over the Gangotri accident. He has instructed the local administration to carry out rapid relief and rescue operations.
