U’khand governor turned up at Badrinath, expressed happiness over masterplan’s work.
Chamoli: Uttarakhand Governor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Gurmeet Singh reached Badrinath Dham on Monday. He offered prayers after visiting Lord Badri Vishal. During this, he prayed to Lord Badri Vishal for the welfare of the state, country and the world.
Governor, also met the local women of village Mana and greeted them. He expressed happiness over the work being done under the master plan in Badrinath Dham. He said that the divine and grand form of Badrinath Dham has started emerging due to the construction work. He expressed gratitude to the temple committee as well as the local people for the works of the master plan and the smooth conduct of the Badrinath Yatra.
District Magistrate Chamoli, Tiwari, has informed the Governor that the number of devotees is increasing in the last phase of the Yatra. In view of which, apart from darshan, strong security arrangements have been made. Giving information about the Badrinath master plan, he said that on priority basis, the work of hospital building, tourist management center, civic amenity center and river front is being done at a fast pace in the Dham.
Mana village has been selected as a vibrant village, under which work is being done to saturate the border village with the schemes of central and state government. Giving information about the Badrinath Yatra route, and work is being done on schemes for a permanent solution to the problems being faced at Kameda, Chatwa Pipal and Pagalnala on the Yatra route the, DM Chamoli informed to governor.
