Door to door verification campaign is running by Chamoli police.

Chamoli: To strengthening the security system of district Chamoli, a comprehensive verification campaign was conducted by Chamoli Police across the district on Tuesday.

This special campaign was monitored by Superintendent of Police Chamoli, Sarvesh Panwar. In order to his clear instructions, police teams in all the police station areas of the district went to different places and did a thorough verification of workers, tenants, domestic helpers, hawkers and suspicious persons who came from outside of states.

Police teams went to various construction sites, hotels and towns and interrogated people and identified people living without verification.

Legal and challan action was also posed against those who had not completed their verification. During the campaign, the police appealed to the local residents to get their tenants and laborers verified, so that any kind of criminal activity can be paused in advance.

Chamoli Police has clarified that this campaign is being run to maintain the security and peace of the district, along with this it is also a positive step for the laborers and workers who have come from outside states, so that they can work according to the rules and anti-social elements can be identified.

No person will reside in the district without verification. If the building owner or contractor does not get his/her tenant / laborer verified, then strict action will be taken against them too.
