Heavy rain alert for next three to four day-MD.
Dehradun: The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert in Uttarakhand, and people have been warned to remain alert for the next 24-48 hours. An orange alert has been issued in Kumaon and a yellow alert in Garhwal region.
There is a possibility of heavy rain in four districts of the state. The Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain with thunder in some parts of Pauri, Champawat and Nainital districts including Dehradun. People also informed to be aware of near river side.
Apart from this, there are chances of several rounds of heavy rain in some areas of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts. Meteorologists say that there is a possibility of heavy rain in the plains as well as in the hill districts of the state for the next three to four days.
