Reconstruction works and travel arrangements under the Badrinath Master Plan, inspected by DM.

Chamoli: The work of Badrinath Master Plan is going on continuously for the convenience of pilgrims. In this context, District Magistrate Himanshu Khurana has reached Badrinath on Wednesday and reviewed the construction works being carried out under the Master Plan.

He instructed the implementing agencies to complete all the works within the stipulated time keeping in mind the quality of the construction works. The works which have been affected due to rain should be expedited, the construction work of most of the residential buildings of the Tirth Purohits should be completed in this season itself. The remaining construction works of Civic Amenity Center, Arrival Plaza and Riverfront should also be expedited. If there is any problem anywhere, it should be brought to notice immediately, he further add.

In the first phase of the Badrinath Master Plan, the work of beautification of Shesh Netra and Badrish Lake, loop road, BRO bypass and installation of street lights has been completed, while the work of river front development, hospital expansion, multi-purpose and visitor building is in its final stage. The construction of residential buildings for the pilgrimage priests is also going on at a fast pace. In the second phase, development of the area around the Badrinath main temple will be done and in the third phase, work of connecting the temple to the lake is to be done.
