Lion killed a woman into the forest.

Champawat: A woman has killed by lion in the Sukhidhang forest area of the Boom forest range of the district on Sunday, she had been into the forest to collect grass. On the information of the incident, Boom Forest Ranger Gulzar Hussain and Chalthi Police station Incharge Sunder Koranga reached at the spot along with the team and took the dead body into custody. The deceased woman Chandravati Devi 45, is a resident of Village Dhura, Gajar, Post Sukhidhang, District Champawat.

The forest department and the police team received information that a woman was killed by lion in Gajar of Dhura village. The team reached at the spot along with the local people and took the body of the deceased woman in their custody. The dead body is being brought for post-mortem in the sub-district hospital of Tanakpur. The incident took place around 10AM Sunday morning.
