DM has instructed to the official to remain alert amidst the Metrological Centre assued the heavy rain alert.

Chamoli: Sandeep Tiwari, district magistrate Chamoli, has instructed all the officers associated with IRS to be alert in view of the warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall and lightning in 10 districts including Chamoli of Uttarakhand state from the Meteorological Center Dehradun.

The local public has been advised to take special caution, safety and control in movement, the District Magistrate has instructed the officials to maintain readiness at every level and maintain caution, safety and control over movement. In case of any disaster, accident, immediate on-site action should be taken and information should be exchanged immediately. In case of motor road being obstructed, road construction agencies should ensure immediate opening of the road.

All Revenue Sub-Inspectors, Village Development Officers, Village Panchayat Officers should remain in their areas. All outposts, police stations should also remain on alert with disaster management related equipment and wireless. No officer will keep his phone switched off. Arrangement of food and medical aid should be made for the stranded people. Blockages in drains and culverts in cities and towns should be removed.
