Badrinath Temple closed with chanting of Vedic mantras for winter time.
Chamoli: The doors of the world famous Shri Badrinath Dham were closed for the winter season on Sunday, 17 November at 9:07 pm with the chanting of Jai Badrivishal along with the devotional tunes of the army’s devotional band. More than twelve thousand devotees were present on this occasion.
Shri Badrinath Pushp Seva Samiti Rishikesh decorated the temple with 15 quintals of flowers for the closing of the doors. Local folk artists and Mahila Mangal Dal Bamni, Pandukeshwar will organize local folk dances and jagar etc. Donors and the army have organized bhandaras (free food offers)for the devotees. The movement of pilgrims continues till the last day of closing of the doors.
District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari had darshan of Lord Badrivishal on the occasion of the conclusion of the Badrinath Dham Yatra and said that Shri Badrinath Yatra is being completed efficiently with the coordination of the administration and the temple committee. A record number of pilgrims have reached at Badrinath. The work of the master plan is going on at a fast pace here, and definitely, the pilgrims will get more facilities in the coming time.
Ajendra Jay, Shri Badrinath- Kedarnath Temple Committee President, said in his message has congratulated all the devotees on the occasion of the end of the Yatra and has expressed gratitude to all the departments and institutions associated with Shri Badrinath Yatra. BKTC Vice President Kishore Pawar has also thanked all the devotees on the occasion of the end of the Yatra.
BKTC Chief Executive Officer Vijay Prasad Thapliyal said that this year Shri Badrinath Dham Yatra is being successfully concluded, more than 14.25 lakh pilgrims have visited Badrinath Dham for this year. The temple committee has made simple and easy arrangements for the pilgrims.
