Himavant poet Chandrakunwar Bartwal paid tribute by Cab minister while participating in Pokhari fair.

Chamoli: Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bahuguna participated as the chief guest in the Himavant poet Chandrakunwar Bartwal Khadi Village Industry and Tourism Sharadotsav Fair organized in block Pokhari district Chamoli on Wednesday.

Cabinet Minister, Bartwal said that unprecedented work is being done by the state government for development and employment generation. Special attention is also being given to encouraging traditional areas like animal husbandry, so that villages can be made prosperous and self-reliant. The state government is going to build 70 new Gau Sadan, the Gau Sadan has been completed in Pokhari, for that 17 new doctors and ambulances have been given to Chamoli district, so that animal husbandry work can run well here and people can get employment, cabinet minister said. The veterinary hospital building in Pokhari will be repaired soon and equipped with modern facilities. The dilapidated animal service centers in Pokhari area will also be repaired, he further said.

Badrinath MLA Lakhpat Butola(Congress party), Advocate Devendra Singh Rana, Advocate Shravan Sati have placed the demands and problems of the people of the entire Pokhari area before the Cabinet Minister. It was told that the veterinary hospital building built in 1960 in Pokhari is in a dilapidated condition, in which repair and construction of boundary wall is necessary. A veterinary hospital should be opened in village Sarmola. It is necessary to provide land and construct buildings at animal service centers and operate a skill development center in Pokhari. So that unemployed youth can be linked to self-employment. The Cabinet Minister assured that every effort will be made to solve the problems of the area as soon as possible.
