Around twenty five hundred form received under Nanda Gaura scheme.
Chamoli: Chief Development Officer Dr. Lalit Narayan Mishra has chaired a meeting on Tuesday, the scrutiny of application forms have collected by the selection committee, in Nanda Gaura Yojana, 2493 applications have been received from the district for the year 2022-23.
Nanda Gaura Yojana is run by the state government to remove female feticide, child marriage, gender inequality in the society and to make girls self-reliant by providing higher education. Under this scheme, Rs 11000 is given by the state government on the birth of a girl child and Rs 51000 on passing 12th. Which is directly transferred to the beneficiary’s account through DBT.
District Program Officer Sandeep Kumar said that a total of 2493 applications including 601 for the first phase and 1892 for the second phase were received under the Nanda Gaura scheme.
