To honoring the martyrs is our duty-CM

Chamoli: Chief Minister of hill state Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami has participated in the Shaurya Mahotsav(bravery festival) organized in the memory of Ashok Chakra winner Shaheed(Martyr) Bhawani Dutt Joshi at Village Chepdon of block Tharali district Chamoli on Friday.
He paid tribute by offering flowers at the martyr’s memorial. He also planted a sapling on this occasion, and also has announced that the Shaurya Mela (bravery festival)organized in the memory of Shaheed( Martyr) Bhawani Dutt Joshi will be celebrated as a state fair. He said that funds would also be provided for the beautification of the martyr’s memorial.
Paying homage to Shaheed Bhawani Dutt Joshi, the Chief Minister said that he made his supreme sacrifice in Operation Blue Star. The Government of India posthumously awarded him the Ashok Chakra. It is a matter of pride for all of us that we got the opportunity to participate in the fair organized in his honor.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the morale of the army has been constantly rising. Referring to the recent Operation ‘Sindoor’ against terrorists, he said that now whatever bullets are fired by the terrorists, they will be answered with bullets.
Expressing displeasure over the incident of collapse of the under-construction bridge in Tharali Assembly constituency, the Chief Minister said that this is gross negligence. For this, three engineers have been immediately suspended.
In the program, the Chief Minister has honored Maheshanand, father of martyr Satish Chandra, Vimla Devi, wife of martyr Kripa Singh, Abhay Singh Negi, brother of martyr Himmat Singh and Mrs. Sarojini Kotdi.
Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan said that not only infrastructure but policies are also changing in the state. Be it Uniform Civil Code (UCC), anti-copying law or efforts for women empowerment.
