For effective implementation of the Measles-Rubella eradication, a campaign has organised.

Chamoli: Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, Chief Development Officer of district Chamoli, hill state Uttarakhand, directed all the concerned departments including the Health Department to work in mutual coordination for the effective implementation of the Measles Rubella Eradication Campaign. He said that this campaign is related to public interest, so it should be taken seriously.
A special vaccination campaign for measles-rubella eradication will be conducted in three phases. In which the first phase will be from 21 to 31 July, the second phase from 19 to 29 August and the third phase from 18 to 29 September 2025, in these three phases, vaccines will be given to such children who have been deprived of regular vaccination, chief development officer Dr. Abhishek Tripathi said.
Dr. Vikas Sharma, State Surveillance Officer of World Health Organization, Uttarakhand (Dehradun), informed that the Government of India has prepared a detailed action plan to ensure the eradication of measles and rubella by the year 2026. Under this campaign, children up to 5 years of age who are not yet immunized with measles and rubella vaccine will be vaccinated. Also, suspected patients with symptoms like fever and rash will be identified and treated.
Dr. Sharma said that measles-rubella vaccine protects children from life-threatening diseases and provides protection from serious health problems like diarrhea, pneumonia and lack of immunity.
