District panchayat election result announced, Daulat Singh president and Laxman vice President elected.

Chamoli: Daulat Singh Bisht, faught the election of district panchayat member from Matai ward and won with huge majority and than he filled the nomination for district panchayat’s president, here also getting 19 votes out of 26 and declared winner of Zila Panchayat President post, while opposition candidate Ram Rana got 5 votes and 2 votes were rejected.

Daulat Singh Bisht has faught for district panchayat member as a independent candidate and after winning with huge majority he decided to join ruling party BJP. In the election of district panchayat president, all the independent candidates have thrown their support in favour of Daulat Bisht. Lakshman Singh was declared winner of Zila Panchayat Vice President post with 15 votes while opposition candidate Jaiprakash got 11 votes.
