Tragedy on Moradabad-Agra Highway: Student Killed, Newlyweds Injured

Moradabad: A devastating head-on collision between a roadways bus and a car on the Moradabad-Agra National Highway has left one student dead and seven others injured, including a newlywed couple.
The accident occurred near Hussainpur Chirawali village in the Kundarki police station area on Wednesday morning. The victims, a family from Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, were en route to the ancient Kali Mata Temple in Sambhal district to offer prayers to their Kuldevi.
Thirteen-year-old Payal, daughter of Ramdas and a Class 7 student, tragically lost her life in the crash. The injured, including the bride and groom, were rushed to hospital for treatment. Amit, the driver of the car and a machine operator from Tehri, had married just a day earlier and was traveling with his wife and family when the accident struck.
Police confirmed that the bus driver fled the scene. Station in-charge Hambir Singh Jadaun stated that a report will be filed once a formal complaint is received, and further action will follow. The collision caused chaos and a traffic jam on the busy highway, highlighting ongoing concerns about road safety in the region.
