A Police constable died of stone fell from hill.

Uttarakashi: Its continuously heavy rains in Uttarkashi/Uttarakhand, this is causing of landslides in the hilly areas. A sad news is coming out from Uttarkashi where a police head constable Chaman Singh Tomar 47, who was posted for the safety of passengers at Ojri Dabarkot danger zone on Yamunotri road, suddenly died after being hit by a stone that fell from a hill.

The police constable was brought to Barkot Hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors. People present on the spot said that this incident occurred while getting the vehicles passed. The soldier died after being hit by a stone that fell from the hill. The police constable was a resident of Jaunsar, Dehradun.

In-charge Inspector Santosh Kunwar told that there is a fear of stone falling from the hill on the days near Dabur Kot in rainy season, that is why the duty of a policeman is imposed there. The constable died due to being hit by the stone and after the post-mortem of the dead body, has been handed over to the relatives.
