Central government’s schemes elucidated by MP Garhwal.

Chamoli: Tirath Singh Rawat, Garhwal MP, reviewed the centrally sponsored schemes chairing a meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) in district Chamoli on Thursday. He emphasized on better implementation of schemes with quality by creating mutual harmony among all public representatives and officers.

He reviewed the schemes of National Rural Livelihood Mission, PM Awas, PMGSY Road, Jal Jeevan Mission, Deen Dayal Gram Jyoti, PM Fasal Bima, Swachh Bharat Mission, Sarva Shiksha, Social Pension etc. under centrally funded schemes. He congratulated the administration team for the good progress of the centrally funded schemes in the district and for getting the Scotch Award for district Chamoli at the national level in livelihood promotion activities.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana, roads should be constructed according to the standards. Dispose of road cutting debris in the dumping zone only. Squares and drains must be made for drainage of water on the roads, said member of parliament Garhwal Tirath Rawat. Construction of houses should be done according to the sanctioned amount under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Reviewing the works of Jal Jeevan Mission, MP instructed to complete the works of the second phase with quality soon. Under social welfare, the benefits of various pension schemes should be regularly extended to all eligible persons. In the meeting, instructions were given to take immediate action on the important suggestions of the members of the committee.
