Meeting to families of deceased and injured, CM Dhami got emotional.
Chamoli: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in Chamoli, a heart breaking incident at Namami Gange Project, at river bank Alaknanda. Wishing peace to the departed soul, the Chief Minister has expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family members. Also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Chamoli on Thursday morning. He inquired about the condition of all the injured admitted in the district hospital Gopeshwar. The Chief Minister looked very emotional after meeting the families of the casualties in the Chamoli accident. He consoled the bereaved family members and assured them of all possible help by the government side. At the Police Ground Gopeshwar, the Chief Minister paid tribute with tearful eyes offering wreaths on the mortal remains of the three Home Guard jawans who were killed in the Chamoli accident.
The Chief Minister said that this is a very heart-wrenching incident. We will pray to God to place the casualties in this incident at his holy feet and give strength to their families to bear this sorrow. All the arrangements related to compensation, treatment etc. have been made by the state government. The Chief Minister said that the cause of the accident would be thoroughly investigated and the culprits would not be spared.
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami met the family members of each of the deceased in the Chamoli accident at district hospital Gopeshwar, and he consoled everyone. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is with them in this time of grief. All possible help will be given by the government to the family members.
On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the remaining 5 victims of the Chamoli accident admitted in the district hospital have also been airlifted and sent to AIIMS Rishikesh on Thursday. The CM said that the injured are being sent to AIIMS Rishikesh for de-stressing and for high-level health check-up. All the 11 injured in Chamoli accident are being treated at Rishikesh AIIMS.
