Women’s marathon race will be organized on March 04, under National Mahila Shakti Vandan program.

Chamoli: Sports officer, Jaiveer Singh Rawat has given an information that under women empowerment, National Mahila Shakti Vandan Marathon race will be organized on Monday, March 04. In which women personnel from departments like Police, PG College, Youth Welfare, Home Guard, Sports etc. will participate. Two kilometer marathon race will be organized from Sports Stadium Gopeshwar to Zero Band and return through the same route till the concluding stadium.

He said that attractive prizes will be given to the women who get the first five positions in the Mahila Shakti Marathon race. Apart from this, five players who completed the race will also be selected and rewarded through lottery. Trophies will also be awarded to the players securing first, second and third positions in the marathon race. To participate in the marathon race, women personnel will have to register their names at Sports Stadium Gopeshwar on March 04 at 9 am.
