Assembly Speaker of Uttarakhand participated in Modvi festival organized in village Nauti.
Chamoli: Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, Assembly Speaker Uttarakhand, has participated in the Ufrain Devi Modvi Fair going on in Nauti village of block Karnaprayag district Chamoli on Monday.
During this, she prayed at the Ufrain Devi temple and wished for the prosperity of the state. The temple committee welcomed the Assembly Speaker by offering prasad.
The Assembly Speaker said that we all have to move forward with our customs, traditions and traditions and tell the new generation about our customs. Said that in every family, mother is the first teacher of the child. A good society is built only with good education and values starting from home. Encouraging women, she said that Uttarakhand is a state of empowered women. We need to recognize our strength and stay connected to our soil. She gave hearty congratulations and best wishes to the people of the area on the Modvi Mahotsav.
The ten day long Ufrain Devi Modvi Mahotsav is being organized after 14 years in Nauti. Modvi is a festival of meditators. In Nauti, the goddess is worshipped in the form of Bhumyal and in Modvi, the goddess is offered chesu bhaat (pulses cooked after grinding which is called chesu in the local language and bhaat is cooked rice) as prasad.
