Juvenile Justice Board meeting was held by DM Chamoli.



Chamoli: Sandeep Tiwari, district magistrate of district Chamoli, has held a review meeting of the works conducted by the District Child Welfare Committee, Juvenile Justice Board and Child Helpline under the Integrated Child Protection Scheme was held on Tuesday. And instructions were given to provide the benefits of the Child Protection Scheme to the needy children.

District Magistrate, Tiwari also said that if there is a problem in making the certificate of any orphan and victim child, then it should be brought to notice immediately, so that it can be resolved quickly from the tehsil level. Appreciating the work done so far under the District Child Welfare Committee, Juvenile Justice Board and Child Helpline, the District Magistrate emphasized on providing immediate relief and help to the victim and orphan children in future as well.

In the meeting, the District Magistrate also resolved the problem of taking a child suffering from mental illness to Dehradun for treatment and staying there. During this, the District Magistrate also gave instructions to promote Child Helpline number 1098 as much as possible.

The project coordinator of Child Helpline said that so far 208 cases of victimized and orphan children have been registered in the district, out of which 190 children have been given the benefit of government schemes and the cases of 18 children are still in process.

District Probation Officer, Dhananjay Lingwal, District Child Welfare Committee Chairperson Hemlata Bhatt, members Rajendra Singh Negi, Pan Singh Rawat, Usha Rawat, Juvenile Justice Board Advocate Balveer Singh Rana, Child Protection Unit Co-Law Officer Pradeep Singh, Child Helpline Project Coordinator Rajni Bhandari were present in the meeting.
