Valley of Flowers Bursts Into Bloom Just Ahead of Tourist Season.

Chamoli: The world famed Valley of Flowers in Uttarakhand, district Chamoli, India, has already begun dazzling with colour even before its official opening to visitors. Forest officials say more than two dozen species are currently in bloom, painting the Himalayan landscape with vibrant hues.
A team led by Forest Range Officer Chetana Kandpal inspected the UNESCO World Heritage site and confirmed that the flowering season has started early. Species such as Coriolis Kashmiriana, Habenaria pectinata, Arisaema propinquum, and Rosa sericea are among those already brightening the valley.
The valley, which hosts around 300 species of flowers between July and August, will open to tourists from June 1. Authorities say preparations are complete, and visitors can expect a spectacular display as the season unfolds.
