Prime minister selffund scheme is supporting for small traders.
Chamoli: Prime minister self fund scheme operated by the Central Government for street vendors is supporting to them, till the date, under the scheme by the Municipal Corporation and Panchayats in district Chamoli, interest-free loans have been provided to 574 traders. Due to which the income of the traders is increasing.
The operation of prime minister selffund scheme was started by the Central Government to re-establish the business of street vendors after the Corona period. In which interest-free loans were provided to the businessmen by the government in three phases. In which 7 percent interest discount was provided by the Central Government. At the same time, 2 percent interest is also being paid as subsidy in the scheme by the state government.
Radhakrishna Tiwari, a fruit seller of Gopeshwar city, district headquarters of Chamoli, says that re-operating the business after the Corona period had become a big challenge. In such a situation, the loan provided under the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi scheme operated by the Central Government became a support. Due to which I am currently able to run my business and support my family.
Vijay Kumar Joshi, who runs a fast food business in Gopeshwar, says that there was a lot of difficulty in running the business after the Corona period. In such a situation, the loan received under the Pradhan Mantri selffund scheme run by the Central Government has helped in re-establishing the business.
Currently 574 businessmen in Chamoli district have been benefited from the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi scheme. At the same time, 64 applications are in progress at the bank level in the district, while 17 cases action is in progress.
