Chamoli: In a remote rural primary school of Sutol, block Nandanagar, the future of 82 students running after only one teacher, due to a huge shortage of teachers. The situation is that in Government Primary School Sutol, the responsibility of education of 82 students is dependent on one teacher.
The teacher, posting here, is also on arrangement from primary school Panjachaukha. Whenever the teacher is out of departmental work, there is no study in the school. The parents, and public representatives, had demanded to Chief Education Officer to immediately deploy three teachers in the school as per the norms. The education level of the children is getting affected due to non-deployment of teachers.
Not only in primary school but also in Government Higher Secondary School, Sutol have the same condition of shortage of teachers. The post has been running vacate of teachers vaca in Science since 2012 and Mathematics since 2019. A constant demande of immediate posting of teachers in schools, is making by villagers including village head Rajpal Kumar. On the other hand, CEO Kuldeep Gairola said that the posts of teachers are vacant in many schools. Along with the directorate, through the district administration, the government has also been urged to remove the shortage of teachers. On getting teachers, they will be sent to priority schools.
