Kotdwar: A car coming from Dugadda to Kotdwar, lost control and fell into the Khoh river, on Tuesday late evening, in which 1 person died, while 2 people are still being reported missing. There were total of five people in the car.
According to the information, five people from Bhanera and Menanshadad villages of Bijnor district had come to visit Lansdowne by a car. Due to much mud on the road between Siddhabali temple and Lalpul, the car suddenly went out of control and fell into the Khoh river.
One person got thrown from the car and got injured and four people were missing since the accident. As soon as the information was received, the police and SDRF team reached at the spot, and relief and rescue work continued. During the search one person was pulled out from the middle of the river, while no trace of three people could be found. This morning, during an intensive search at the scene, the SDRF team found an another dead body in the middle of the river, which was pulled out and taken to the main road. handed over to the district police. The identity of the deceased has been given as Israr 35 years, resident- Bhanera, Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh.
